Air Force and Space Force
Airmen and Guardians can complete General Education (GE) classes required for a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Degree through Coastline's General Education Mobile Program (GEM) or earn an Associate Degree at Coastline. Airmen or Guardians seeking to earn an Associate Degree from Coastline may transfer applicable credits from non-traditional coursework such as CLEP, DANTES, and/or military training and experience, and other college courses to Coastline. Coastline's Military and Contract Education students can complete online courses to meet the required coursework for a degree. Before you begin your educational journey, please contact your Education Services Officer to find out about using Tuition Assistance and other options to support your educational pursuit.

Students that live in the following states and districts cannot take Coastline courses: Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington D.C. In New York, new students cannot take Coastline courses, however, continuing students can finish their program. In Kentucky, only Military students, may take Coastline courses.
Tuition & Payment / Tuition Assistance
Tuition
Tuition is $250 per Unit/Semester Hour. To view The Shopping Sheet, Cost of Attendance or to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), please visit our Financial Aid page.
Service member must speak with their Education Service Officer (ESO) or counselor within their military service prior to enrolling at the college.

Tuition Assistance forms that are authorized prior to the registration/payment deadline will now be printed by Coastline. Tuition Assistance documents authorized after the registration/payment deadline must be submitted to Coastline via fax or scanned and emailed.

In order to be certified to use GI Bill® Benefits, please contact Coastline's Veteran Certifying Official. Student Veterans are required to contact the Certifying Official each time they add or drop a course.

If you plan to use Military Tuition Assistance (TA) to pay for your course, please complete the Intent to Use Tuition Assistance Form in order to be excluded from the drop for non-payment process. You have until the week prior to the start of your course to submit the TA Authorization to ELDEnrollment@coastline.edu.
Financial Aid
Federal Financial Aid is available to qualified students, and qualification is determined when an individual completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial Aid programs include Pell Grants, Supplemental Equal Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Stafford Loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized), and the Plus Loan.
Scholarships
Coastline's Military and Contract Education (MCE) students are eligible to receive scholarships even if they receive TA through a government or corporate-sponsored program.
MCE students are exempt from the requirement to attend the scholarship awards ceremony.

Canvas: Course Access
Canvas is where you access courses and interact with your professors. You can view grades, class information, and assignments online. Students will be granted access to courses one week before the course start date.

GEM Classes
Coastline's GEM Program offers classes that meet the Community College of the Air Force's General Education requirements. Coastline offers a variety of course timeframes, including 4-week (offered during intersession only), 8-week, 10-week (offered during summer only), 12-week, and 16-week courses. Not all classes are offered every session. Please check the Searchable Schedule or contact us for the most current information.

California Residents
Service members originally from or currently stationed in California may be eligible for a discounted tuition rate when enrolling in Coastline's Military Distance Learning Program. Please review Residency Requirements for eligibility and required documentation.
Official Education Plan
Coastline requires all students to have an Official Education Plan upon completion of 6 units/credits at Coastline or 9 semester hours paid by Government-issued Tuition Assistance. Details can be found on the Official Education Plan webpage.

Petition to Graduate
Have you racked up enough units during your semesters at Coastline to graduate with a degree or certificate? Congratulations! This is a major milestone. Do not forget: you must petition to graduate. Once you've arranged for the paperwork to be completed, you can focus on celebrating and taking part in Coastline's Commencement Ceremony (held in spring).
