Coastline Cybersecurity Club: Decrypted
The purpose of the Xploit club is:
- to develop and demonstrate cybersecurity skills
- discuss emerging security threats and industry trends
- promote career connections and advancement through industry speakers and mentors
- raise awareness about cybersecurity through local community outreach
The organization is set up to educate and prepare Coastline College students to compete in security-related competitions and showcase student talents and skills.
Depending on the term, club members and students can also participate in their own competitions during the off season, for external competitions.
The topics explored at (c)3 include cyber defense competition preparation, computer network security, network devices, operating systems, network services, application security, cyber law, career networking, and social engineering. There will also be a special emphasis on promoting club members to collaborate to study for professional certificate exams.
