Biography
Dr. Laurie Runk is the Department Chair of Health Sciences and an instructor of Kinesiology, Food and Nutrition, and Health at Coastline College. As a former college athlete, Professor Runk is familiar with the demands on students outside the classroom and is passionate about helping students find educational success while maintaining life balance. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and all things outdoors with her family.

Prior to teaching, Dr. Runk worked in the corporate sector as a wellness coach and disease management counselor for organizations such as Insight and City of Tempe. She has also served as a strength and conditioning coach for various college teams during her time at Arizona State.
