ChatGPT for Students and Instructors

AI is a great tool for both our students and instructors, when used correctly. In this session, experiences with giving ChatGPT-based assignments to students will be shared, as well as how to use ChatGPT prompts to improve teaching. Participants will gain practical strategies for integrating AI into their own classrooms. Pre-written suggested prompts and ideas will be provided, allowing you to quickly experiment and implement AI tools in your teaching.

Creating Video Content to Enhance Your Courses

Come learn how to create a variety of types of videos for your classes! This workshop addresses the dos and do nots of incorporating video into your classes and explains how they can help humanize your courses, increase student engagement, and therefore increase retention. The variety of content presented aims to help faculty of all skill levels from those who have never created a video, to those who have extensive experience creating video content.

Coast federation of educators (CFE)

The Coast Federation of Educators represents all full-time faculty and part-time faculty who teach 7.5 or more LHEs a semester. After two years with an expired contract, the Coast Federation of Educators (CFE) has reached a tentative agreement with management for a three-year contract (2024 through June 2027). The contract contains numerous changes that will be reviewed during the Flex Day session and the contract ratification process will be reviewed.
