Welcome to Coastline! You're considered a new student if you've never taken classes at Coastline College. New students, regardless of their educational background and goal, must apply for admission.
New Student Checklist
- 1. Apply to Coastline

- Check your email for login info within 3-5 business days.
- 2. Apply for Financial Assistance
- Go to: Financial Aid
- Complete the FAFSA or Dream Act application.
- 3. Complete the Online Orientation
- Go to: Orientation
- 4. Meet with a Counselor
- Go to: Counseling
- Plan out your classes with the help of a Coastline Counselor.
- 5. Register for Classes
- Go to: Registration
- Plan your schedule and check the Academic Calendar for important dates.
Need a computer to apply? Computers are available in the Admissions & Records Office, Garden Grove Campus, Newport Campus, and Westminster - Le-Jao Campus.
After You Apply...
- You'll receive an e-mail confirmation within 48 hours after submitting your application.
- In 5 business days, you will receive a second email with your username, password, registration date and time and instructions on how to register via MyCoast.

The Student Services Center in Fountain Valley is the main administration building. No classes are held at this location.

Coastline College has long been recognized to effectively deliver innovative hybrid and online instruction while employing a digital learning environment.
Coastline ONLINE - Students have the flexibility of working on their coursework on days and times which are convenient for them and are not required to be online or at any location at a specific time or date.
Coastline LIVEONLINE - Students are required to attend class sessions online on the days and times listed in the schedule of classes.
Face-to-Face - The College only has a few classes which will meet on campus (mostly science labs).
