Getting involved is one of the most rewarding things you can do while you're a student at Coastline College. Our Campus Clubs provide a range of opportunities for you to develop your leadership skills, connect with staff and faculty, and contribute to student life at the college.

• Club Forms

  All club forms are to be completed by a club student leader. The form will be automatically routed to the club advisor for review and approval. Temporary approval will be granted by Student Life until ASG provides final approval.

Hasanah Chhom serves as your ASG Campus Clubs Senator, a role that bridges between the Associated Student Government (ASG) and our amazing campus clubs.

Improving communication between student clubs and the student government is a key focus to ensure clubs receive the assistance they require. Additionally, I aim to coordinate enjoyable events that facilitate genuine engagement among students and with their school. Start a New Club

• Club Activation Process

  The club activation process is as simple as 1..2..3..4. For more information, please refer to the Club & Advisor Handbook.

  1. Find Three (3) Student Members

  Clubs must maintain a minimum of three (3) student officers to receive/maintain active status. Student members must meet the following requirements:

  • Current student enrolled in 5 or more units at Coastline or enrolled in an adult education program at Coastline College or have a documented disability through Coastline's Special Programs & Services
  • Meet and maintain the minimum standards of scholarship prescribed for community college students by the community college district (generally a 2.0 GPA)

  Note: the above requirements are only for club officers. General club members may be enrolled in either a credit or noncredit program at Coastline.

  2. Find an Advisor

  Each club must have a minimum of one (1) advisor. Advisors must be a currently employed Coastline faculty (full-time or part-time), classified professional, or administrator. Classified employees may refer to CFCE MOU #19-2. Club Advisors must be present for all club meetings and events. For more information, please refer to the Club & Advisor Handbook.

  3. Create Club Constitution

  The club constitution explains how the club will operate and be structured. For more information, please refer to the Club Constitution section of the Club & Advisor Handbook.

  4. Submit Activation Paperwork

  Each club must submit the Club Activation and Renewal Form with applicable documents to receive active status. The form must be completed by the student leader, in coordination with the Club advisor. Questions? Please email Student Life for assistance.

• Period of Activation

  Clubs must request activation/reactivation each academic year. Clubs are only active for the fall and spring terms.
