Position running for: President

- What is a personal achievement you’re most proud of?
- One personal achievement that I'm most proud of is learning how to advocate for myself. Growing up, I've faced multiple challenges, both academically and survivability. I grew up in an abusive household and came to the United States as an immigrant at a young age. I've learned many new things along the way, including a new language, new culture, how to play new instruments, how to be a better leader, and many more. Yet, one thing that I'm proudest of is learning how to stand up for myself. For many years, I chose to struggle in silence before I learned that if I want something, I would have to speak up about it. Even though it wasn't easy, I still did it. It took a lot of courage, confidence, and resilience to speak up and get me to where I am today. Thus, my ability to advocate is something that I will always embrace as it will continue to empower me in all aspects of my life, then and now.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
- In my free time, I love to read and practice some nail arts. I also find a lot of fun in attending volunteer events. Personally, I like making new friends and to be as helpful as I am allowed to be. I also love going to the beach and try out new restaurants!
- Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
- I chose to pursue to role of ASG President because I believe that this role offers the most effective means for advocacy and the best opportunity to bring the most positive changes to our school. Everyday, I aim to make a positive difference in the world. And today, I believe that I can make such differences within my beloved school community. Coastline College has given me more than just an education. The relationships that I've built with fellow scholars and faculty members and the help I have received are something that I will always treasure. Therefore, I believe that the role of ASG President will allow me, to my full potential, to advocate my time and efforts into giving back to Coastline and joining a hand in making it a better place than it already is.
- If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
- If elected, my number one priority is ensuring that every student's voice is heard and well represented. Additionally, I am hoping strengthen student engagement within our community. Even though Coastline's main system of education is online and distant-learning, I hope that I will be able work together with other ASG members to increase the opportunities for students to involve and engage in leadership development. Included but not limited to: school-wide events or expanded extracurricular activities through clubs and organizations. Overall, I'm hoping to create a campus environment in which students will be able to thrive academically, socially, while at the same time, grow as an individual. I am committed to listen, represent, and working with other ASG members and advisors to leave a lasting impact on Coastline as the leader of ASG.
- Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
- During my commitment with ASG, I will also be sharing leadership responsibilities and continue to represent some Coastline's Clubs. Namely, Pre-Med Club and PTK.
Position running for: President
Major: Paralegal/Comunications
- What is a personal achievement you're most proud of?
- Last year as the Legislative Affairs Senator I helped to plan Knott's Berry Farm Day Out. This in person event was one of the most successful events of all time in Coastline history. We had around 75 students and family participate with us that day. It took many weeks of planning and faced many setbacks, but we made it happen. Also, as Legislative Affairs Senator I attended Student Senate for California Community Colleges. At SSCCC I debated hotly with other school delegates to set the advocacy agenda for the SSCCC for the coming school year. I voted in the best interests of the student body here at Coastline and would love to represent you all again next year.
- What do you like to do in your free time?
- My free time is about to be used up taking care of my son. He is due in the first part of May. However, when I do have time to myself I focus on selfcare. When I talk about selfcare I am speaking about those activities that allow for me to decompress from the stress of school, life, and everything else. For me that is my love of modeling, not runway modeling, but modeling little toy soldiers. I find peace in putting them together and painting them. Something about the solitude, with music or an audio book on low, allows me untangle my mind and get my thoughts straight. Whatever you do to find that moment of peace I encourage you to do the same, and as often as you can.
- Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
- Last year I served as the Legislative Affairs Senator and accomplished many things for the student body. The way I see things is that you always have to push yourself to achieve bigger and better things. In the role of ASG President I would be able to do so. The President has more of a voice and ability to be that voice of the student body. As that voice I will endeavor to bring better policy decisions for the student body.
- If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
- In the role of President, I hope to be able to represent the student body by bringing their concerns forward. I want to be able to advocate for the wellbeing for the student body as well. Last year I helped organize Knott's Day Out and plan on doing many more such days to help the student body decompress throughout the year.
- Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
- As a mental health advocate and an advocate for the student voice as a whole, I will not stop until and I will use everything within my power to make sure you are heard and taken care of the best that you can be.
Position running for: Treasurer
Major: Business, Economics and Political Science
- What is a personal achievement you're most proud of?
- Where do I begin? I don't have a personal achievement, but as a team I am most proud of what we have done together. First off we accomplished so much, we advocated for Disability rights for Coastline Students. We wrote an Academic Senate Resolution. We are pushing and advocating that our officers get a stipend using our Student Rep Fee Fund (SRF) to make sure that they are taken care of as student leaders. I was elected as Region 8's Treasurer for 2024-2025 school year for Student Senate of California Community Colleges (SSCCC).
- What do you like to do in your free time?
- I don't have much free time on my hands. But If I did have free time, I would say reading a romantic book and watching romcom movies.
- Why did you choose your desired role in ASG?
- As Treasurer for Spring 2024 term of this academic year, I've met with my Advisors on a weekly basis to discuss and track our expenditures, given a weekly ASG budgeted update on how we are spending our cash flow. I also made suggestions on how to use the remainder of our funding. Who loves and enjoys math and working with numbers on a daily basis, both in a professional and personal settings? This girl right here (that's right me.. :) ).
- If elected, what do you hope to accomplish for the student body?
- If elected as Treasurer (not appointed), I will maintain cash flow on a daily basis, making sure that our students, staff, administration, professors and faculty etc.. are heard in all financial decision processes made by ASG.
- Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
- I am very very timid and shy at first, but once you get to know me as a person I will open up to you. Yes, I can be annoying at times, but I am always here for our students (day or night, weeks and weekends); I'm just an email way. I do live to serve Coastline the best way I can.

- Is there anything else you want Coastline's student body to know about you?
- While I acknowledge I'm not perfect, I possess a strong willingness to learn and improve myself, especially with the guidance and support of others, to enhance my leadership skills. I've encountered moments of timidity in expressing my ideas due to a fear of inadequacy, but I've come to realize that growth comes from embracing the learning process, understanding that we're all continuously evolving and discovering.
